SoMWO was founded in 2017 as a welfare society by local Somali minority women who were committed to improving the living conditions and the level of decision making of their fellow minority women.
Through our work in child protection, resilience and risk reduction, we places the safety and well-being of children at the centre of our programming.
We offer a range of sexual and reproductive health services to ensure that women and girls have access to the information and care they need.
n addition to reproductive health, we provide general health services to improve the overall health of women and girls in our communities.
The severe limitation of services, worsened by access constraints for women and girls due to extreme stigmatization and fear of reprisals, deprives GBV survivors of necessary multi-sectoral care and support.
